Rens has worked at the nexus of venture/growth investing and climate technology within the food and agriculture sector for more than five years.
Rens was a founding member of the initial team that established Rabo Ventures, a EUR 200 million venture capital fund specializing in global Food- and AgTech investments (Series A, B, C). In his 5 years at Rabo, he was key to building and managing the portfolio, executing 10+ investments and providing active support to companies in their trajectory of growth. His professional career started at Deloitte Consulting, after he finalised his master’s degrees in Digital Strategy and Finance & Investments.
Born and raised in a town nestled in the middle of the Dutch ’Green Heart,’ Rens moved to Rotterdam a decade ago. Despite temporary stays abroad, including stints in Australia and Kenya, Rens consistently gravitated back to his cherished Rotterdam. Outside his professional career, Rens enjoys a broad range of sports, including football, golf, tennis, and skiing.
