Blume Co-Founder, Clare Murray, appointed to Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle Europe

Clare Murray of Blume Equity Named to Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle Europe

Amsterdam, 24/02/2026 — Co-founding Partner of Blume Equity, Clare Murray, has been appointed to the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Circle (YLC) Europe, a select network of emerging leaders committed to advancing market-based solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.

The Milken Institute YLC Europe convenes the next generation of financiers, entrepreneurs, and policy shapers to contribute to the Institute’s research and programming agenda. This year’s focus — European competitiveness — is closely aligned with Blume Equity’s mission to deploy growth capital into climate technology across the continent.

”Being part of the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Circle is a tremendous honour,” said Clare Murray. ”The Institute’s work on European competitiveness directly addresses the systemic challenges and opportunities that Blume Equity engages with every day. I look forward to contributing to conversations that can translate research into action and capital into impact.”

Shared Priorities: Where Milken’s Agenda Meets Blume Equity’s Investment Thesis

Milken Institute Europe’s 2025 research programming is organised around three pillars — each of which intersects with Blume Equity’s strategy:

Attracting New Investment into Infrastructure and Decarbonization — Blume Equity was founded on the conviction that Europe’s transition to a sustainable economy requires institutional-grade venture capital and support. The firm’s portfolio demonstrates this conviction in practice: its investment in Sensorfact, a Dutch industrial IoT company that helps manufacturers monitor and reduce energy consumption, identified over 226 GWh of energy savings across approximately 3,000 customer sites in 2024 alone — equivalent to powering 75,000 homes for a year. Blume led Sensorfact’s €25 million Series B in 2023, and the company was subsequently acquired by engineering giant ABB, validating both the commercial and strategic importance of industrial energy efficiency to Europe’s decarbonization infrastructure.

Closing the Innovation and Technology Gap — Blume Equity invests at the growth stage in companies developing proprietary technology to tackle climate change. The firm’s approach — sourcing differentiated across Europe — is directly responsive to the imperative to build and retain deep-tech innovation leadership on the continent.

Investing in Europe’s Defense and Security Priorities — Food and climate security are increasingly understood as dimensions of national and geopolitical security. Blume Equity operates at the intersection of climate and strategic sovereignty — themes that the Milken Institute is bringing to the forefront of European policy dialogue.
